It was very difficult to choose between
"Echo's" three bitch pups "Wicca", "Amber" and "River"
in 2008 - but fate helped me make the decision when someone came to buy a pup and fell in love
with "River" and a very good breeder friend wanted to have
"Amber". Thereby "Wicca" stayed with me to eventually
continue her mother's Sansorrella line. "Wicca" is an adorable, affectionate, loyal and intelligent bitch with a very promising future. "Wicca" was chosen to play "Lady" in the TV series "Game of Thrones", but unfortunately she missed her pack and the comforts of home too much. She didn't settle into kennel life at the film studios so came back home to do her bit for the Anglo Wulfdog breeding programme. Although "Wicca's" claim to fame was short lived, it was her half sister "Pagan's" grandma, "Zuni", who eventually played this role, so we still have family ties to the series. "Wicca" has produced three litters of the most stunning puppies yet and with her daughter "Tundra" and grandaughter "Rune", is continuing "Echo's" legacy for the breed and Sansorrella! |

I am still reeling from the shock of losing Wicca today - the day after her sixth birthday. She'd been off colour for a couple of days and the vet and I were both of the opinion that she had a blockage and she went in for routine surgery to remove it this morning. Sadly when she was opened up the vet discovered not a blockage but her entire intestine and stomach were riddled with cancer. I could have kept her going for a few weeks on steroids, but after doing that with her mother and losing her a couple of months ago I didn't want to put Wicca through the pain, suffering and misery just to prolong her life by a few weeks, so she wasn't woken up but was put to sleep on the operating table. I am absolutely devastated and really wasn't expecting that. I know she is running free now with her mother and leaves her daughter "Tundra", granddaughter "Rune" and great granddaughter "Charm" to continue her line, but she will be greatly missed by myself and "Tundra" - they were inseparable best friends as well as being mother and daughter. She was a very special, happy, lovable girl and so full of life. The pack won't be the same without her xxx |
